My blog for Little Heart Matters

I wrote a blog for Little Hearts Matter, a charity that supports parents and children who have a single ventricle condition…. like mine!

Apparently 29,000 people read it in the first night! That’s a lot of people!

An amazing response…. I’m humbled by the sincere comments on their Facebook page. To think, I was nervous about sending it in…. unsure if it would be good enough…..

  1. I’ve been meaning to read this properly and comment on it for ages so I’m glad you’ve reshared it. I never knew that you had a single ventricle heart condition until I saw this post when you first shared it. It’s amazing that you are one of the first generation to survive to adulthood – and the fact that you have also been able to have children too. I cannot tell you how much hope this gives me as a heart mummy. I have always assumed that Jessica would never be able to have children, even if she survives to adulthood. I’m not surprised at all that your post was so widely shared and read – for those of us that have small children with similar conditions to yours, being given the kind of hope that your post has given means so much. Thank you so much for sharing your story x
